As a teenager, Trent moved to Brooklyn New York and attended George Westinghouse Vocational and Technical High School with the like of Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls, DMX and the late great Michael K Williams. In 1995 he graduated from Our Lady of Mercy Emergency Medical service as a EMT in the Bronx, in 2000 he then went on to join the New York City Fire Department as a Hazmat EMT then upgraded to a Paramedic where he stayed until his retirement in 2020. Trent received a degree with honors from Auguste Escoffier School in Culinary Arts and Operations and placed on the President's List recognizing his high GPA average and outstanding work. Seven Escoffier Legion Honor Badges awarded for grades 95% or above. Trent was later inducted into Phi Theta Kappa honor society.  He is also obtains  a degree from Eastern Gateway College  in Business

Management/Entrepreneurship, earning a 3.84 GPA, which comprised of one Dean and four President list honors. Trent also volunteered his time as Head Chef feeding people in need at Guild of ST Mary Soup Kitchen in Upstate New York.

 

 If everything goes according to plan by 2023, it is his dream to open his own jazz lounge, where you can order the homemade delights directly from his kitchen. Since coming into the culinary world, he has owned and operated with his wife RobertaKarens Manufacturing & Catering in Upstate New York since 2016. (RobertaKarens.com) Trent enjoys golf, cars and being with his grandchildren in his spare time and will continue to master his craft as a chef.
